What it is

A player inside the instrument.

Most bass apps give you sounds. BRACE gives you a bassist. It knows what a part is for — holding the root, rolling under a break, sitting between the kicks — and it plays that job. You stay the author.

Four parts in every genre

Give the bass a job.

In Drum & Bass that's Rolling Sub, Hold, Stab or Pocket. One rolls under the break, one holds a long note a bar — it supports, it doesn't perform. Each genre has its own four.

Every note stays in key. Pick a progression and the first note of each bar lands on its chord. STRICT keeps it inside the scale completely.

The kick

Bass is half of a pair. Each part is written around the kick: Hip Hop sits under it, Metal locks to it, Pocket sits between the kicks.

Played basses, sub and 808s, synths, heavy growls and character voices. Every one is synthesised by 30P — tap SHAPE IT to set the envelope and EQ.

When you want to go further than BRACE's idea, open it up.

Take it anywhere

Into your track.

Pick 1, 4, 8 or 16 bars. Save the audio as a WAV to the Files app, share it to GarageBand, AUM, AirDrop or Messages, or copy it to the clipboard.

With the unlock, BRACE does MIDI: export and copy the part as a MIDI file, play it from a USB or Bluetooth keyboard, and send it out to your own synths with its drums on channel 10.
